Travel

Students are responsible for making their own travel arrangements. The closest airport to us is Green Airport (PVD) located in Warwick, Rhode Island which is approximately 30 miles / 40 minutes driving time from our facilities. Logan Airport (BOS) in Boston is 75 miles / 90-100 minutes driving time away. For rail transport, Amtrak serves both Providence and Boston’s South Station and bus service is available from both rail stations to/from nearby Newport. Further information about local ground transportation can be provided upon request.

Lodging and Meals

A wide variety of lodging options ranging from economy to luxury exist nearby in and around historic Newport – all within very close driving proximity to our facilities – and we have negotiated special discount rates with several select properties for groups or companies. These discounted rates for groups or companies are only available by booking through the USMRC Registrar. For meals, we do not provide breakfast or dinner as most of our students prefer to take advantage of the large selection of dining options available in nearby Newport. For the budget minded, a few of our select lodging properties provide breakfast and/or a light dinner included in the lodging rate. Lunch – for a nominal fee, USMRC provides custom made to order box lunches catered from a local delicatessen and delivered right to our facility.
